As always, don't hesitate to contact me with questions: For starters, if you know someone that you think should be added to this mailing list, please send them to the following webpage: http://listsmart.osl.state.or.us/mailman/listinfo/erate The USAC web page that covers technology planning. Follow the links on this page for more detailed information. http://www.universalservice.org/sl/applicants/step02/ The ODE website showing current technology plan approval status http://www.ode.state.or.us/initiatives/erate/docs/erateapprovedplans2006.pdf E-Rate Central - a collaborative website created to help schools and libraries navigate the program. http://www.e-ratecentral.com/applicationTips/techPlan/ Here are some helpful documents for Ed-Tech applicants as well. We suggest writing your plan to cover all potential programs when possible. We will talk about this more during the training on November 12th. The main ODE webpage for Title IID http://www.ode.state.or.us/search/results/?id=105 Oregon's NCLB Website http://www.ode.state.or.us/search/results/?id=75 Federal NCLB Website http://www.ed.gov/nclb/landing.jhtml I have attached some documents to this email. Here are brief descriptions of what they are. e-Rate Budget Template.xls - This is the form that you can use to satisfy the budget reporting requirement in your plan. You can make any changes to this form that you need to in order to make it relevant to your needs. This is a tool for you to start with, and you can customize it by changing the service descriptions or any other header that doesn't fit with your plan. The important thing is to ensure that you list the expenditures AS WELL AS your revenue. If you fill out this form completely, you shouldn't have any problems with the budget portion of your plan. Newsletter Excerpts.doc - This is a compilation of a series of articles from e-Rate Central. The articles outlined several key points of interest from the USAC training for Tech Plan approvers. The clarification provided in this document is extremely useful to anyone involved in e-Rate tech planning. I am still finalizing the presentation for Wednesday, and I expect to have it out to you no later than tomorrow so that you'll be able to print them on Wednesday. :) Sabrina Carson e-Rate and Procurement Customer Support Willamette Education Service District 2611 Pringle Rd SE Salem, OR 97302 P: 503.540.4495 F: 503.540.2962 -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... It is too late for any new remote sites to be added to the conference at this time. It will also be live streamed at https://district.ode.state.or.us/search/page/?id=95 There is a link on the right-hand side (ODE Videoconference Training) that will launch real player and stream the conference when it's time. Also, it will be available for viewing from the ODE website after a couple of days.
