 *   FY 2008 and FY 2007 Funding Status.  Wave 29 for FY 2008 and Wave 70 for FY 2007, initially scheduled to be released on October 28th and October 29th, respectively, have apparently been temporarily delayed.
 *   SLD Fall E-Rate Training: Part 5 — Consortium Applications.  Two important issues, not covered in the SLD’s training session on consortium applications, are the allocation of discounts to consortium members and the SLD procedures delaying funding of consortium applications when member applications are subject to Selective Reviews.


 *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.
    *   FY 2007 recurring service invoice deadline is this Tuesday
    *   FY 2008 Form 486 deadlines begin this Wednesday
    *   Fall E-rate training
 *   Schools and Libraries News Brief for October 24th.  This week’s News Brief discusses the transfer of equipment obtained with E-rate discounts.  For the first time, SLD guidance indicates that applicants can dispose of outdated or unused equipment — if no money or any other thing of value is received in the process.  This guidance may not apply, therefore, if state or local regulations require the auctioning of surplus equipment.
