 *   Funding Status.  Wave 20 for FY 2010 and Wave 69 for FY 2009 will be released this week.  The FY 2010 Priority 2 funding threshold has been reduced to 85%
 *   FCC Releases New E-Rate Order.  The new E-rate rules include important changes on fiber optic transmission services, a pilot project for off-campus wireless Internet services, the elimination of the tech plan requirements for Priority 1 services, new competitive bidding rules, changes to the Eligible Services List, and tighter constraints on SPIN changes.  Additionally, there will be new forms and changes to the CIPA regulations
 *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.  There are two key E-rate deadlines in October. The SLD's fall training program has begun
 *   Schools and Libraries News Brief dated October 4.  This News Brief summarizes the key components of the new E-rate report and order.
