 *   Funding Status.  Wave 17 for FY 2010 and Wave 66 for FY 2009 will be released this week.
 *   Back-to-School E-Rate Activities..  In addition to the deadlines discussed last week (non-recurring service deliveries – 9/30; recurring service invoices – 10/28; and Form 486s – 10/29), applicants should note the end of PIA's summer contact deferral period, fall training schedules, and technology plan updates.
 *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.  An FCC order on E-rate program changes is expected September 23.  Sprint Nextel has initiated BEAR payment process that will speed reimbursements to its customers.
 *   Schools and Libraries News Brief dated September 10.  This News Brief is first of a series discussing applicant and service provider activities this fall.  Part 1 discusses the end of PIA's summer contact deferral.
