A number of applicants in small towns have started to receive PIA questions if the first eight digits of their telephone match those of local service providers. * CRN-Related Black Holes. Applicants across 17 states associated with an E-rate consultant in Iowa, originally owned by a woman who has pled guilty of fraud, are finding their applications for FY 2010 and FY 2011 on hold. * E-Rate Updates and Reminders. The FCC released three new appeal decisions. It will be interesting what the new federal Plain Writing Act does for E-rate regulations. * Schools and Libraries News Brief dated May 20.
