  *   Funding Status.  The FCC approved the final thresholds for Priority 2 funding at 90% for FY 2012 and 88% for FY 2011.  Just one regular funding wave for FY 2011 is scheduled this week.
  *   FCC Provides Guidance on the Community Eligibility Option.  The USDA's CEO alternative may create problems for some schools calculating E-rate discounts because it prohibits the collection of NSLP applications.  The FCC has provided interim guidance permitting those schools to use previous year NSLP data.
  *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.  The FCC issued two applicant-specific appeal decisions.  August 6th is the FCC comment deadline for the FY 2013 draft ESL and the reply comment deadline for remote VPN access.  The FTC is soliciting comments on COPPA rule revisions.  SLD system problems have been reported with the online Entity Search and i486 E-notifications to service providers.
