  *   Funding Status.  The FY 2013 application window will close March 14.  Funding waves for FY 2011 and FY 2012 are scheduled for this week.
  *   E-Rate and Sequestration.  Basic E-rate funding and USAC administrative expenses are exempt from sequestration-related budget cuts, but cutbacks at the FCC may adversely affect the timeliness of program decisions.
  *   E-Rate Updates and Reminders.  One FCC decision granted 16 waivers of the Form 486 deadlines.  Type-in versions of E-rate paper forms are available from E-Rate Central.
  *   SLD News Brief for March 1.  The SLD's latest News Brief reviews its top ten tips for applicants for FY 2013. It also indicates that randomly selected applicants and service providers will be receiving "balance verification" e-mails in connection with an audit of USAC.
