AESA Legislative Alert !



As you may know, AESA contracts for legislative services through AASA. Noelle Ellerson has taken Bruce Hunter's position at AASA and still helps represent AESA. I hope this email finds you well, and your school year off to a good start!



As you'll recall, the FCC released a pretty expansive set of proposed changes to the E-Rate program earlier this summer. This conversation is the first meaningful change we've had to talk about funding for E-Rate, along with ensuring availability for internal connections for all schools, not just the poorest. Your voice can help make the difference. We have drafted a summary of the proposed changes as well as created a template response for you to work from.



While AASA has filed joint comments with AESA, it is the voice of individual school leaders that will be the deciding factor. Comments are due by Sept 16. I'd be happy to save you the hassle of navigating the FCC website; if you want me to file your comments on your behalf, please email them to me (with something related to E-Rate in the subject line) by COB on the 13th.
