  *   Funding Status.  FY 2014 application window closed last week; preliminary demand figures are similar to last year.  Funding waves for FY 2011 and FY 2013 are expected this week.
  *   FY 2014 Application Window Closed - Next Steps, Part I.  Applicants, particularly those not fully completing their applications on time, have a few post-deadline activities to complete.
  *   Updates and Reminders.  FCC Commissioner Pai provided an alternative approach to E-rate modernization. The FCC comment deadlines for E-rate related proceedings were March 31st for the Report on FCC Process Reform and April 7th for the E-rate Modernization Public Notice. Form 486s for Waves 29-32 are due before the end of April.  The FCC released two appeal orders granting relief for six applicants.
  *   SLD News Brief Dated March 28 - Next Steps, Part II.  The SLD latest News Brief also discusses next steps for FY 2014 applicants.
