  *   Funding Status:  Funding waves for FY 2012, FY 2013, and FY 2014 are scheduled this week.  Priority 2 funding for FY 2014 is now being denied at all discount levels.
  *   E-Rate Modernization - Winners and Losers:  Program changes under the E-rate modernization Order to eliminate or phase down eligibility of services in Category 1, offset by additional funding for Category 2, will benefit some applicants and service providers, but will hurt others.
*         Updates and Reminders:
o   E-Rate Modernization Comment Periods.

  *   SLD News Brief Dated August 22 - Out-of-Window Letters:  The SLD's latest News Brief indicates that roughly 300 applicants will be formally notified this week that their Form 471 applications for FY 2014 missed submission or certification deadlines.
