From erb-public-notice at omls.oregon.gov Mon Aug 26 15:26:39 2024 From: erb-public-notice at omls.oregon.gov (ERB Public Notice List) Date: Mon, 26 Aug 2024 22:26:39 +0000 Subject: [Erb-public-notice] Update on Searchable ERB Orders via State of Oregon Law Library Message-ID: Please see the message below from Board Chair Adam Rhynard Valued ERB Constituents: I wanted to provide you with an update on our continuing project with the State of Oregon Law Library to have fully advanced search options for Board orders (beyond those on our website). In addition to a library of court opinions and briefs, the State of Oregon Law Library database now includes our agency's orders. You can access these orders from our homepage (https://www.oregon.gov/ERB/Pages/Index.aspx) by clicking on Advanced Final Orders Search. You can also go directly to the ERB database by using this link: https://cdm17027.contentdm.oclc.org/digital/collection/p17027coll9. As you will see, when you click the Advanced Search option in the ERB database, you have a variety of robust search options to assist you in researching Board orders (including "all of the words," "any of the words," and "exact phrase." You can also search by Fields, such as Case Number, Case Name, Case Type, and Date. You can also combine these different searches. As explained in an earlier email, we started with publishing our most recent orders and are working backward to publish older orders in weekly batches, in coordination with the State of Oregon Law Library. As of this writing, the published orders run from 1992 to date. Eventually, all Board orders will be published here (in addition to being published on our website). Additionally, we are also working on creating keyword filter options for the orders on our website to also assist you in researching our orders in a slightly different way. These filters will function a little bit like a PECBA digest by enabling you to search for orders by PECBA categories (e.g., jurisdiction, unilateral change, statute of limitations, duty to provide information, etc.). Once implemented, we will again work backward, starting with our most recent cases. Finally, as always, if there are operational issues, desired additional resources, or other ways that the agency can be of service, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
