The National Center for Fatality Review and Prevention (National Center) is excited to share several new resources and updates with you. The first resources highlight the launch of Version 5.1 of the National Fatality Review-Case Reporting System (NFR-CRS) that was released in May. The National Center's hopes that these resources help in your data collection and entry processes. We also want to share how NFR-CRS data is used by highlighting two quick-looks featuring NFR-CRS data.
* NFR-CRS Version 5.1 archived webinar provides an overview of key features, specifically identifying what's new in Version 5.1. https://www.ncfrp.org/tools_and_resources/archived-webinars-presentations/
* Data Collection and Data Entry for Local Teams (module 16) highlights best practices and tips for improving data quality and efficiency at the local level. This module features a local team coordinator from Colorado who shares helpful insights.

* Life Stressors Crosswalk was created to help teams answer the new Life Stressors questions in Section I7 of the NFR-CRS. This crosswalk is intended to be a guide for places within NFR-CRS that might help inform the Life Stressors. https://www.ncfrp.org/wp-content/uploads/Life-Stressors-Crosswalk.docx
* NFR-CRS Suicide Standardized Report has been revised and is now live. A PDF is attached and as a reminder, this standardized report will only populate for cases entered in NFR-CRS version 5.1.
* NFR-CRS quick looks featuring data on pedestrian deaths, drowning deaths and child abuse and neglect deaths to children younger than age 1. https://www.ncfrp.org/resources/quick-looks/
The next two resources are designed to support the utility of the new Section L in the NFR-CRS in the transition from case-specific recommendations to case-specific findings.
* Findings Guidance explains the rationale for the shift and offers practical steps for implementing the change. https://www.ncfrp.org/wp-content/uploads/NCRPCD-Docs/Findings_Guidance.pdf
* Findings Module features Delaware who has very successfully implemented this model. https://mediasite.mihealth.org/Mediasite/Play/fa6adec9e3c345b59eee0a3d714ab9fa1d?catalog=db105963a5d642c9b6237f5de124c02a21
These next 5 resources were specifically designed in response to COVID-19. If there are additional resources that would aid your team in navigating COVID-19, please let us know.
