Led by Brian Miller, Ph.D., this webinar provides clinicians and their supervisors with an overview of the five skill components (experiential engagement, managing rumination, intentional narrative, reducing emotional labor, and parasympathetic recovery strategies) of the CE-CERT model and guided opportunities for the worker to self-audit their current strengths and needs for developing these skills.
Rather than traditional self-help strategies that take place after exposure to trauma, this model is about re-training direct service providers to remain resilient as they are exposed to trauma. This model is a re-thinking of managing secondary traumatic stress that can be accomplished through intentionality, practice, and coaching.
The presentation is followed by a Q&A period moderated by SRCAC Project Director Karen Hangartner.
