Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID)
Prevention Program Learning Community
The SUID Prevention Program is launching a 4-part webinar series that will connect multidisciplinary professionals together to increase knowledge of fatality review, learn how to leverage local data to strengthen SUID prevention efforts, and learn to apply learnings in safe and respectful ways to champion health and racial equity in communities. The Learning Community will explore strategies for supporting families in practicing safe sleep and identifying what narratives need to change specific to the challenge of SUID prevention education and messaging.
Who should attend: This learning opportunity will be of interest to the audiences listed below, as well as anyone working towards an advanced understanding in the fields of fatality review and SUID prevention.

The Sudden Unexpected Infant Death Prevention Program is funded by Cooperative Agreement Number UF745730 from the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) as part of an award totaling $500,000 annually with 0 percent financed with non-governmental sources. Its contents are solely the responsibility of the authors and should not be construed as the official position or policy of, nor should any endorsements be inferred by HRSA, HHS, or the US Government.
Gender Inclusion in Fatality Review
The National Center for Fatality Review and Prevention is pleased to announce registration for the webinar "Gender Inclusion in Fatality Review," happening on Thursday, April 11th from 2:00pm-3:00pm EST.
In 2022, the National Fatality Review-Case Reporting System and accompanying resources were updated to reflect more gender inclusive language, both for the young people who died and for their parents and caregivers. This webinar will discuss why gender inclusion is important in the context of fatality review and provide action steps for implementing gender inclusive practices during your fatality review process.
