NEW Documenting Supervision in Pediatric NFR-CRS

New Improving Consistency of Child Maltreatment Identification for Drowning

Dear fatality review colleagues,



The National Center for Fatality Review and Prevention is pleased to announce registration for the webinar "Documenting Supervision in the Pediatric NFR-CRS," taking place on Thursday, December 4th, from 2:00pm-3:00pm EST.



This webinar will provide CDR and FIMR teams with guidelines to determine whether a child or infant was supervised at the time of death. Participants will have an opportunity to practice assessing supervision with mock review scenarios, as well as learn about the definitions of supervision. Resources and best practices for determining supervision will be available.

In this webinar, guidelines to help CDR teams more consistently and objectively classify child maltreatment for drowning deaths will be highlighted. Incident circumstances, subjectivity reductions, and the role of personal assumptions and judgment will be discussed.
