<p style="background:white"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black">Earlier this week, the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) announced rewards totaling over $3 million to tribal entities across the country. Six tribal entities will receive funding
as a part of the Tribal Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) program. This program builds capacity for home visiting services to American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) families, ultimately supporting the health and wellbeing of families

Each of these modules are meant to incrementally build awareness and understanding about how history impacts contemporary health concerns, population representation, and collaboration with Native communities. The first module illuminates how historical harmful
policies have impacted American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) health today. The second module outlines collaborative strategies to keep in mind when working with Tribal Nations and rural and urban AI/AN communities. Finally, the last module delves into complicated
legal issues affecting many AI/AN people, their communities, and their nations.<br>

It is my hope this series brings about awareness and understanding of an often marginalized and erased population. With patience, commitment and time, true partnerships can be made with AI/AN communities and Tribal Nations to bring about health and wellness.<br>
