Project Coordinator with a special focus on Outcomes. In this role, Joshua will lead the implementation of evidence-based prevention frameworks, serve as a subject matter expert for health equity, and create partnerships with national, state, and local fatality
review programs. He will also develop resources, represent the National Center on national workgroups, and manage project plans and evaluations.<br>
<br>
Mr. Thomas holds a B.S. in Criminology from Florida State University and a Certificate in Public Health Executive Leadership from the University of South Florida. His extensive background includes leading the Child Abuse Death Review Unit at the Florida Department
of Health (FDOH), contributing to the development and implementation of the FDOH Strategic Plan and Florida’s State Health Improvement Plan, to strengthen statewide efforts to enhance public health outcomes and address health disparities. Joshua has also served
as the co-chair for the National Fatality Review Health Equity Learning Collaborative since December 2022.

</span></strong><span style="font-family:"Helvetica",sans-serif;color:#757575">joined our staff on August 26, 2024 as a Senior Project Coordinator with a special focus on Suicide. Dawn worked in collaboration with communities and community partners for over
ten years to prevent child injury and death to include suicide prevention. Prior to joining the National Center, she was the Arkansas Child Death Review Program Coordinator and then CDR Program Manager. In her role as CDR Program Coordinator, she led local
teams to focus on data quality for the state of Arkansas to drive teams to implement specified recommendations. Dawn’s work on improving data quality for the state of Arkansas was nationally recognized.<br>
<br>
Ms. Porter graduated from University of Central Arkansas, with a Master of Science with emphasis in Health Promotion. She was awarded one of two CDC-supported regional injury prevention fellowships in 2021. Her fellowship focused on the development of a suicide
prevention resource digital platform for communities across Arkansas in collaboration with multiple organizational partnerships.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

in her final year of the Doctoral of Leadership in Equity and Inclusion program at University of Central Arkansas. Her doctoral focus is on community leadership and her dissertation focus is suicide prevention from the lens of educational leadership.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

3rd, 2024. She will be with the National Center for six months, focusing on the Suicide Quick-Look and Population Data Guidance projects. Sooji is currently a second-year MSPH student at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, specializing in
health education and communication.<br>
<br>
Before transitioning to public health, Sooji worked as a dental hygienist, providing education and care to patients of all ages. Her strong interest in child and maternal health, along with her dedication to advancing community health through education and
advocacy, inspired her to pursue a career in public health. Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, she moved to Seattle, WA, in 2016. Sooji is fluent in Korean and enjoys watching K-dramas and movies, exploring new restaurants and coffee shops, and practicing
Pilates in her free time. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

3rd, 2024. She will be working with the National Center for six months to identify how fatality review surveillance can improve maternal, infant, and family outcomes, take action steps to incorporate equity into the review framework, and collaborate with key
partners to translate CDR and FIMR findings into program and policy recommendations to improve infant and child health and safety. Specifically, she will develop a written guidance document for CDR and FIMR teams to better understand disparities in sudden
unexpected infant death (SUID) alongside social determinants and structural inequities. <br>
<br>
Amanda is a 2<sup>nd</sup> year MSPH student at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where she is studying Health Education and Health Communication with an emphasis in maternal, child, and adolescent health. In May 2023, she graduated from Texas
A&M University (Whoop!) with a BS in Public Health and a Minor in Biology. Amanda is passionate about mentorship and relationship building, serving under resourced and marginalized populations, and looking at health through a socioecological lens. In her free
time, you can find her hanging out with friends, listening to podcasts, or spending time with her tuxedo cat Lucy.

entities will receive funding as a part of the Tribal Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) program. This program builds capacity for home visiting services to American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) families, ultimately supporting

The National Center offers a broad suite of TA resources to CDR and FIMR teams. These resources are focused on all aspects of the fatality review process, including identifying cases, conducting reviews, using data, and catalyzing prevention. TA is available
