Subject: Eagle Crk lidar funding achieved

Dear Eagle Creek Lidar partners,

I'm writing with good news. It appears that we've garnered sufficient funds to acquire new lidar for the Eagle Creek burn area. Please refer to the attached NCALM quote for details on the acquisition.

Here is my understanding of the funding breakdown
 (organizations and contacts):

1) Univ of Oregon/NSF ($15k). Josh Roering
2) US Forest Service ($5k). Mark Riley
3) US Army Corps of Engineers ($10k). Paul Sclafani
4) Gorge Commission ($5k). Krystyna Wolniakowski
5)
Federal Highways Administration (Western Region) via ODOT
 ($
15
k). Stephen Hay

Availability: Once the data is acquired and processed it will be available on opentopography.org<http://opentopography.org> as well as other public portals.

Products: In addition to the point cloud data and raster coverage described in the NCALM document, a preliminary change detection analysis will require time (>1 month). My lab will work with NCALM and USGS scientists to generate a preliminary change detection coverage (differencing the 2014 dataset with the new 2018 acquisition) that will be distributed to partners and other agencies in spring/summer of 2018 depending on the date of data delivery.

Please reply to me and confirm that your organization is able to contribute at the amounts listed above and we can forward with paperwork and details. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks again for your patience and interest in this project.

cheers,
josh
