[Fit-elevation] E-FIT Lead Update and Voting Poll

I wanted to follow up with survey results before we head into the weekend.  The results were unanimously in favor of Reed taking on the FIT Lead for the E-FIT.  The nomination will be sent to OGIC for endorsement in the council meeting scheduled for January 29th. After OGIC's approval,  Reed will officially take on the new role.

Robert Hairston-Porter has left his position at DOGAMI and is no longer able to maintain his role as the Elevation FIT Lead.  Reed Burgette has been nominated to take on the role of FIT Lead moving forward.  This change does require approval FIT prior to going to OGIC for endorsement.  For those who may not be familiar with Reed, see the bio below.   Please vote by end of day Friday, January 17th.  We will move forward with the nomination as expressed by the majority of those who respond by end of day Friday.

More about Reed:
Reed Burgette is the Lidar Coordinator and Remote Sensing Geologist for the Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral Industries (DOGAMI). He manages the Oregon Lidar Consortium and coordinates collection and distribution of high-resolution elevation data for the State of Oregon. Prior to joining DOGAMI he was a professor at New Mexico State University where he led a research program centered around neotectonics, and taught physical geology, tectonics, GIS, and geologic mapping. His research interests and experience include neotectonics, geodesy, collection and analysis of topographic data, structural geology, seismic hazard, and measuring landscape change.
