Special Achievement in GIS Award
It is my distinct pleasure to inform you that ENTERPRISE INFORMATION
STRATEGY AND POLICY and Office of Governor Ted Kulongoski have been
selected to receive a "Special Achievement in GIS" award at ESRI's 29th
Annual User Conference. This award is being given to user sites around
the world in recognition of their outstanding work in the GIS field.
Your organization was selected to receive this award from over 100,000
user sites worldwide.
ESRI will be showcasing all SAG award winners and their applications on
the ESRI Web site at www.esri.com/sag. Our goal is to feature your
organization and to share the importance of your contributions in GIS to
our global community.
The awards will be presented at a special ceremony on Wednesday, July
15th, from 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. in Hall A in the San Diego Convention
Center. This special event is open to all registered attendees of the
conference. Spouses are invited to attend the ceremony as guests. For
more information on registration, please visit
http://www.esri.com/events/uc/registration/hotels.html.
At this year's conference, we will be interviewing selected SAG Award
Recipients. The audio recording of the interview will be featured in a
series of podcasts as part of the ESRI Speaker series. Podcasts are
audio programs that are distributed over the Internet and can be played
back on mobile devices and personal computers. You can find out more
about ESRI's current podcast series here
<http://www.esri.com/news/podcasts/index.html> .
This informal interview will last about 30 minutes during which we will
ask you about your work in GIS that has led to you being selected to
receive this year's SAG Award. If you are interested in being
interviewed, please email Matthew DeMeritt (mdemeritt at esri.com), and we
will send you further details and information.
In addition, I strongly encourage all SAG winners to submit a map
showcasing their innovative uses of GIS technology. Your work may be
selected and highlighted during Monday's plenary session, which is
attended by more than ten thousand ESRI software users. Submissions are
due by May 21, 2009. Submit your map here UC image submission form
<http://events.esri.com/conference/images/index.cfm?fa=img_grp_form&sour
ceid=5> .
In order to help ensure your award receives the recognition it deserves,
