Subject: OGIC review materials

There are two primary items on the OGIC agenda<http://www.oregon.gov/DAS/CIO/GEO/Pages/ogic/ogic_meetings.aspx> for the March 2015 quarterly meeting.

The first is related to the FIT Charter and the appointment of a new Chair for the Elevation FIT.  The materials for that item are posted on the Review Materials<http://www.oregon.gov/DAS/CIO/GEO/Pages/ogic/ogic_meetings.aspx> page.  The first document related to this item is called Draft Framework Implementation Team Charter Ver 1.1.  The second item is called Conflict of Interest Guidelines.

The second item on the agenda is related to the OGIC Executive Order.  Now is an appropriate time to revise the existing EO<http://www.oregon.gov/DAS/CIO/GEO/ogic/docs/eo00_02.pdfhttp:/www.oregon.gov/DAS/CIO/GEO/ogic/docs/eo00_02.pdf>.  There are a number of issues that need to be addressed, including:


*         OGIC's strategic and operational duties and actions

*         GEO's strategic and operational duties and actions

*         State agency responsibilities related to GIS coordination

*         Structure and governance of OGIC

*         GIO duties and activities

The OGIC Strategic Plan<http://www.oregon.gov/DAS/CIO/GEO/ogic/docs/2010finalgisplan_091510.pdf> calls for EO revisions as part of the Management and Coordination goals on page 12.
