Subject: Power Line Work Group Meeting this Friday

Greetings,

The inaugural meeting of the Utilities Framework Power Line Work Group (PWG) will be this Friday, January 20, at the Department of Land Conservation and Development office in Salem. If you can't make it in person, we have arranged call-in capabilities. The meeting will see GIS leaders from around the state come together to map transmission and distribution lines in Oregon for a variety of different purposes. Here are the proposed agenda and pertinent details. See the attached charter for additional details.

GIS and industry specialists of many backgrounds are encouraged to attend. Hope to see you there!

Agenda:

  1.  Introductions
  2.  Discuss Use Cases/Analysis Needs for Power Line Data
  3.  Review Current Sources of Power Line Data, discuss previous experiences, strategize on how we can surmount limitations
  4.  Summarize the ideal middle ground/perfect world for power line data
  5.  Discussion of potential costs and pitfalls
  6.  Record membership and determine next steps for the work group
