We are hiring a Geospatial Data Governance Coordinator!  If you are familiar with Oregon's Framework Program, you'll remember that we had a Framework Coordinator a couple of years ago to lead that Program.  This position will continue with that role, in addition to working on new equity data/mapping initiatives for the State of Oregon. Here is a summary of the position:

This position is a GIS business analyst in the Office of Data Governance and Transparency, responsible for statewide information resource planning, both strategic, long-range plans and the review of state agency operational plans.  This position helps the agency meet its responsibility for review and planning of statewide information technology projects, with a particular emphasis on Geographic Information System program initiatives/projects. The position is responsible to lead Oregon's Framework Program which is comprised of 16 Framework Implementation Teams (FIT). Each FIT has a leader and each team is made up of individuals who are coalesced on a specific data theme such as transportation, hydrography, climate, etc. The Teams include over 450 participants from every level of government and the private sector. Oregon's Framework Program serves as the governance structure for authoritative geospatial data in Oregon and supports the creation, sharing, and management of these data via data standards development, stewardship, and community forums.  Coordination and communication with all state agencies, local and regional governments, federal governments, tribes, special districts, higher education institutions, and private sector organizations are important dimensions of this position. The Geospatial Data Governance Coordinator is expected to set standards and guidelines for data governance and data management best practices and to work in alignment with the State's Data Governance Policy, overseen through the Office of Data Governance and Transparency.

Full time permanent, Operations and Policy Analyst 4 position.
Salary Range:  $6,285 - $9,254/month
