[FIT] Framework Program News & Updates

January has been a busy month for the Framework Program.  You will find a list of updates below as well as a peak into what FITs are working on in the near term.



FIT Leads

The FIT leads met in January to reflect on changes over the last year and look ahead to what is coming in 2024. Early in 2024 the Framework Program and FITs will be focused on:

  1.  Engaging with FITs
  2.  Developing Work Plans
  3.  Planning for Spring Framework Forum
  4.  Framework Data Development Program

2024 Framework Grant RFP is coming soon!

GEOHub Updates

At this time, DAS GEO is completing the transfer of all Framework Data from Spatial Data Library to GEOHub.  The Framework Program anticipates updates for several data elements coming due in 2024. Data Stewards looking to update Framework data elements should visit GEOHub's Public Bodies<https://geohub.oregon.gov/pages/public-bodies> page for more information. Once data and metadata has been updated, notify DAS GEO of an update to a dataset by completing the Data Readiness form<https://arcg.is/1COeuO0>.  Please note the data readiness form does require login credentials.  If you need to update a data element but don't have access to the form please reach out to gis.info at das.oregon.gov<mailto:gis.info at das.oregon.gov> to request access. Updates to web services will also require the submission of the Data Readiness Form in order for DAS GEO to perform quality checks and update the Framework Inventory.



Recently Updated Datasets

  *   Statewide Building Footprints of Oregon<https://geohub.oregon.gov/datasets/oregon-geo::building-footprints/about> was updated to 2023.

OGIC Meeting

The Framework Program worked with Jacob Lubman, DAS Performance Manager, to develop performance measures in the latter half of 2023.  Proposed performance measures are focused on engagement, data governance, and data accessibility were presented to OGIC in January and received endorsement. The Framework Program will immediately begin implementing the approved performance measures.



The Framework Program also updated the Charter to align the goals and objectives with OGIC's Strategic Plan and duties and responsibilities with the proposed performance measures.  The Framework Program did receive OGIC's approval with minor revisions to the charter.
