New wildfire hazards map, regulations presented in Central Point

Draft plan and associated property regulations rolled out two years ago have been rescinded, reworked.

This time, things were a bit more calm.

Two years ago, that was not so much the case, when state agencies met public outcry as they tried to present a new map showing where wildfire hazards were highest in Oregon - and where draft regulations might apply that would require property owners to create defensible space around homes and buildings.
