<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="color:#44546A">The intent of LC 121 (HB 4056) is to reduce or eliminate concerns that stakeholders have raised over the years related to privacy/confidentiality, liability
and the charging of fees associated with geospatial data sharing among and between public bodies... Concerns that stakeholders have indicated have been/are preventing them from sharing vital geospatial framework data with other public bodies, either directly
or through the Oregon Geospatial Data Library.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="color:#44546A">Ultimately, the intent of the bill is to enable all levels of government in Oregon to more effectively share and have access to accurate and complete
geospatial framework data on a statewide basis, without placing any additional burden on any of those who share data.
<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><span style="color:#44546A">Although the core intent remains the same, we recognize that some of the language within the initial draft of LC 121 (HB 4056) is different in a variety
of ways from the initial concept discussed at the December 2015 OGIC meeting. With that, we do anticipate that amendments to the bill may be requested/needed and are very willing to work with stakeholders to address any concerns that may arise.

number of items to be heard and the limited time available during each of the four (4) meetings of the JLCIMT (Fridays from 3:00-4:30 PM) during the 2016 Legislative Session, the initial public hearing for HB 4056 may be February 5 or February 12, 2016. The
agenda for the February 5 meeting will be posted early next week on the Oregon Legislative Information System (OLIS) Web page for the JLCIMT -
