Working with ArcGIS for Natural Resources
This two day introductory course in geographic information systems (GIS)
is for new users, or advanced users who are new to the ArcGIS platform,
with an emphasis on natural resource management.  The course teaches
basic concepts, tools, and techniques, and introduces advanced topics
including
 
Using ArcMap, ArcCatalog & ArcToolbox
Working with layers, data frames, and maps
 Editing data and managing edit sessions
Creating layouts in ArcMap
Creating graphs and reports
Creating and using layer symbols in ArcMap
Labeling features, working with annotation
Projecting data between coordinate systems
Working with routes and XY events
Managing and editing tables
Selecting and querying features
Accessing Excel and Access tables
Spatial analysis tools
Georeferencing images
Working with metadata
Working with the geoprocessing environment
