Using Census Bureau Economic and Demographic Data to Promote Economic Development
A deep dive into creating a comprehensive profile of the economy and businesses to help promote economic development; highlighting data for employer businesses, the impact and importance of small businesses, helping businesses with more detailed data, and the impact and importance of minority‐ &
women‐owned businesses.
Hands‐on Training of LED Data Tools
Innovative data tools to access the Local Employment Dynamics (LED) partnership between the Census Bureau and 53 state partners providing data on where workers live and work along with wages, and top industries for local areas and workforce. The on‐line data tools, OnTheMap, OnTheMap for Emergency Management, LED Extraction tool and QWI Explorer are featured through scenario‐based exercises giving attendees hands‐on experience.
