GIS Specialist l (GIS and MSAG) – This position requires extensive knowledge and ability to perform a diverse array of complex GIS related work. This position requires an employee to be flexible, be able to multitask, think intuitively, implore time management, and possess troubleshooting ability. Employee must be well versed in ESRI products, addressing standards, and be able to work with GIS data effectively. This position requires working with many departments around the City and County as well as the public and other Municipalities. Multiple Agency coordination is required among different Fire Departments and Public Safety entities. Primarily responsible for ensuring proper City and County addresses are applied and updated in MSAG, CAD and GIS systems.

Requires:  BA/BS in GIS, Computer Science or related field; minimum 2 years demonstrated proficiency with ArcGIS and related software. E9-1-1 database, NextGen experience may substitute for all minimum requirements, DOE.

Desirable: Specialized experience in addressing and resolving addressing issues with MSAGs and 9-1-1 databases.

GIS Technician lI – Develops, maintains and coordinates GIS systems in the office and in the field with clients. Extracting appropriate information, creating and updating GIS data from As-Builts. Update a variety of maps, including utility, zoning, reference, topographic, political boundary, parcel and address maps.
Read and interpret engineering plans and specifications for extraction of data to GIS Utility system and data layers; use GIS to analyze data for engineering/planning purposes.

Requires: A good working knowledge of ESRI software products; a minimum of one year of hands-on experience working with ArcGIS.

Desirable: Familiarity with legal descriptions, and data models.
