[gis_info] GIS/CMS for demolition of structures (historic or otherwise)

Greeting Oregon GIS colleagues!

I'm sending out this message to a somewhat broad list of local GIS'ers in hopes of getting some information about what your jurisdiction might be doing to track the removal of structures. Our Council has indicated a desire to keep track of structures as they are demolished so there is record of all of the lost structures whether or not they are designated as "historic" on any official list.

Our current practice requires an applicant to submit "before" photos when a demolition permit is issued. Ideally we would have a CMS that would permit staff to save photos in a fashion that would attach them to the permit, the address, and/or a point feature.

Does you jurisdiction have any such system in place? Is there a public URL that I can browse and share?

Best,
Dan
