There are two Instructor positions posted for Natural Resources: one's a full-time temporary and the other is a part-time position.  The part-time position would probably be the GIS position (even though for some reason it doesn't list that class I'm pretty sure that's what that position would teach most likely; I think they're trying to leave it somewhat general since the person hired for the full-time temporary position might teach GIS if they have the expertise if that makes sense).

Anyway - I really appreciate you helping to spread the word about the position.  It isn't our (Fisheries) position so I'm not sure if I'll be able to answer questions but could point anyone interested to the right person if needed.

This is a reminder of what we discussed several days ago about FT228 (Intro to GIS) that you are scheduled to take next term.  It is currently not in the winter 2024 schedule because the college is still looking for an instructor to teach it.  That is ongoing and hopefully it will be staffed soon.  As I mentioned, please leave Tuesday and Thursday afternoons winter term open at this point so you will be able to register for the class if/when it is staffed.  If it doesn't get staffed for winter, we will be working on an alternative term to offer it so you can meet that requirement.  Our hope though is that it will be staffed and offered next term as scheduled.
