Hello GIS Professionals,

I'd like to invite you to attend the following in-person workshops, which
I'll be providing at the upcoming Northwest GIS Conference in Seaside,
Oregon in September:

   - Introduction to Python Programming
      - Monday, September 23rd, 2024 - 8:00 am-5:00 pm Pacific Time
      - Description: https://nwgis.org/page-18161
      - Registration: https://nwgis.org/event-5713442

   - Introduction to ArcGIS Pro Python Tools and Processes Development
      - Thursday, September 26th, 2024 - 8:00 am-5:00 pm Pacific Time
      - Description: https://nwgis.org/page-18161
      - Registration: https://nwgis.org/event-5713442

For both workshops, please note:

   - I'll send you the setup instructions well before the workshops
   commence.

   - You're welcome to sign up any time before the workshop starts. If you
have any trouble registering at the last minute, please let me know and
   we'll work it out.

   - If you do sign up at the last minute, please make sure you already
   have the required software installed:
      - ArcGIS Pro (latest or recent version)
      - PyCharm *Community* Edition (not the Professional Edition, unless
      you have the required license)

   - *As explained in the descriptions, the first workshop is a
prerequisite requirement for the second workshop, unless your level of
experience is sufficient to justify a waiver of this requirement. Please
get in touch if you would like to discuss such a waiver.*

The nature of these workshops is as much coaching as it is teaching, in
that, rather than working through fixed exercises, attendees seem to prefer
to follow along as I give explanations and demos. This allows for an
engaging and flexible approach, with discussion and experimentation greatly
enhancing the collecting experience.

I'm most grateful to the Northwest GIS User Group for supporting the
provision of these workshops and I highly encourage you to support the
organization by becoming a member and an active participant.

Please visit the website https://nwgis.org/ for details and please be sure
to get involved in the conference on September 24th-25th.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks.

David
