Research, Inc. located in Portland, Oregon has launched a new website
for those that are interested in current community data and GIS. We're
excited to bring our clients and friends a site that enables them to get
2009 ESRI data instantly (and in shapefile format).<br>
<br>
ESRI recently updated community demographic data for 2009. This data provides
an up to the minute snap shot of key community statistics including income,
race/ethnicity, education, employment, housing and many other population
characteristics.</span><br>
<span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'><br>
This new data is available for download via <a

Files can either be downloaded as a table (.dbf) or as pre-joined to a
shapefile (block groups, tracts, cities, counties, zip codes,
micro/metropolitan areas, states or the nation). All variables for any
geography are $99. <br>

Other cool things this site offers, include a 2009 zip code layer ($99),
neighborhood boundaries (free) and street networks (free).</span><o:p></o:p></p>

geographic layers in shapefile format are also available here for free
