WAURISA and FEMA are hosting a full day workshop at the NOAA Sandpoint facility designed to inform the GIS professional how to be prepared for supporting emergency and disaster events. This workshop is a lecture style presentation with key speakers from our
region covering both Federal and State level topics as well as local themes. Topics will include overviews of State response systems, HAZUS overview and case examples, concepts and techniques useful for the local GIS technician. The workshop is geared for
the GIS professional familiar with using a GIS but interested in being more prepared for supporting responses to a disaster. No lunch is included, however the facility has a cafeteria and people are also welcome to bring their own lunch.
