    <p>I've found that any gaming laptop works well for GIS.  But they

      tend to be expensive.</p>

    <p>So the things that most help doing GIS, at least with ArcMap or

      ArcGIS Pro, are a dedicated video card and at least 16 GB of RAM. 

      Having a good sized Hard disk is also a good thing.</p>

    <p>Other than that, it doesn't seem to matter much.  Having an Intel

      i5 or better processor or an AMD Ryzen 5 would be good.</p>
