Do you know anyone that has a small tabletop Designjet printer with a
spindle? We are going to replace our 2800 (and give it to the
Portland office) and don't know whether to go with trays or a spindle.

Resonds:
I am no longer out in Oregon, but I'm still on the GIS banglists. I
just got this from you and I would recommend the below printer:

HP DesignJet 90 Printer (Q6656A)

I have had great luck with this printer, it is fairly compact for
deploying if you need to COOP, and it can accommodate a spindle roller.
Hope this helps.

we have a hp design jet 500 (several year old). 24 inches roll. It
was pretty inexpensive and has held up well (not a lot of production
and not real fast).
I would give it a recommend.

 From Emmor Nile
We bought a 2800 and haven't used it very much. For plotters we just
bought a Canon iPF710 which we like.

I look forward to your summary to the GPL list.

 From Randy Dana
Call Jon Dunsmore, 503-373-0050 x251, and ask to check out the wide
format HP printer in our Salem office. We have one in this office,
too, and are content with it. Of course, it is the only wide format
printer I have worked with, so my experience base is narrow. We do
get banding occasionally, but I suspect this is because we so rarely
use it. Being an inkjet printer, low use can cause dry print heads.

Note: Jon and I have not tied in with each other yet (phone tag)
