Cy,

 

Does the state have any standardized job descriptions for 'GIS Manager'
positions that address supervisory issues, specifically addressing
administrative responsibilities over licensed surveyors and professional
supervision of certified GISPs?

 

We're creating a division that will contain both licensed surveyors and
certified GISPs.  It's coming together as two sections (Surveying and
GIS).  The survey section will be supervised by a licensed surveyor
providing professional supervision to surveyors (as per ORS) and
administered by a GIS manager (division head).  The GIS section will
receive professional supervision and administrative oversight from the
division head.  

 

GIS Manager (Division Head)

I'm looking for a good description (essential duties, administrative
responsibilities, supervisory responsibilities, etc.) for both the GIS
Manager and the GIS supervisor.  Something that is line with ORS and
GISCI best practice guidelines . . . . which I cannot find.
