Good Afternoon Everyone,
 
The July GPL Meeting notes are now available at the following link:

Meeting Location Instructions:
1. Obtain a visitor badge/sticker from reception
2. Proceed down the main hall to the elevators
3. Take the elevators to the 3rd floor
4. The conference is behind the reception desk at the end of the hallway
 
Meeting Conference Calling:
The conference call line for this meeting will be 503-378-3313 and will be available from 1 pm - 4 pm.
 
Agency Reports:
If you have an agency report please send me an email detailing the report for the meeting notes.  If you are unable to attend I can provide the report to the committee during the agency reports segment of the meeting.  This should help me get the meeting notes out same day.
 
Agenda:
Bob Haas has provided the follow information to guide the discussion of cadastral data:
 
The intent of the agenda item is to continue to discuss data sharing issues related to ownership information.  In particular, Deschutes County and Clackamas County Assessors will provide insight into issues Assessors encounter in administering and sharing ownership information. They will also discuss the need for a comprehensive multi-agency review and legislative revision of state public records statutes as they pertain to ownership information.

In addition, until issues related to the public records statutes are addressed, an appeal will be made to make the Property Ownership table an optional versus a mandatory part of the GIS Cadastral Data License Agreement.  The result of this proposed change should be the removal of the major obstacle that is preventing the wide scale sharing of data amongst county and state agencies.
