Mission to serve as a forum for public agencies in Oregon to coordinate development of Geographic Information Systems and to provide the Oregon Geographic Information Council with technical advice.

Agency Reports as time permits

The objectives of the Oregon GIS Program Leaders are:

a) To advise OGIC on issues concerning the use of geospatial technologies.

b) To support and coordinate activities between agencies utilizing geospatial technologies.

c) To advise the Oregon Geospatial Enterprise Office (GEO) on funding prioritization.

d) To support statewide and regional projects by coordinating and integrating geospatial technologies and data.

e) To identify gaps in geospatial data needed to make accurate and timely land management and social decisions.

f) To support the creation of standards necessary to create and distribute accurate and credible geospatial data.

g) To enable the implementation of those standards by providing technical assistance where possible.

h) To promote the benefits of the use of geographic information systems.
