Any interest in splitting up the cost of one meter 4-band imagery from
2011? See below. We aren't likely to get any new imagery statewide in
half meter format 4-band until the 2014 cycle, which means you won't see
it until at least 2015. I'm working on storage options now and believe
I'll have a way to store and provide access to this additional imagery,
as well as all existing aerials, lidar, and obliques.

Surdex is proposing that we deliver the 4-band data for the entire
state, relying upon pooled funding from state/federal/other to provide
the best solution for the participants. Our proposal includes:

1. Statewide, tiled and seamless data set in 4-band GeoTIFF format

2. All imagery will be acquired using the Leica/Intergraph Digital
Mapping Camera (DMC) - a frame-format digital camera

The seamless data set is tiled to 8Kx8K pixels (8.192km x 8.192km @ 1m
resolution) and in a single UTM zone covering the entire state -
actually exceeding the DOQQ bounds by ~200-500m all the way around. The
data will be in fully-attributed GeoTIFF format with embedded pyramids.
As opposed to the DOQQs (which overlap each other), this represents ~20%
reduction in total storage. Each image includes embedded image
"pyramids" compatible with nearly all common GIS packages and is optimal
for web-based hosting.

The seamless tile set is actually the data set our production people
work with throughout the NAIP project. Once areas are complete, the
DOQQs are simply extracted from this data set and formatted for
delivery.

The data will be provided with restricted rights. The data can be placed
in the public domain and receivers of the data are only precluded from
re-selling the data.

Our offered pricing is $40,000:

1. The pricing applies to the bundled package for the entire
state.

2. Should additional projections be required (vice UTM), an
additional $8,000 would be required for each.

3. All data would be delivered upon completion of all of our
responsibilities to the USDA (we also have Montana this year) -
approximately mid-October.

4. Any fixes in response to call-outs during final NAIP inspection
would be provided once available.

Since our final flight and tile layout plans are not yet complete, I
cannot yet provide a definitive seamless tile layout, but should be able
to in the next few days.

Feel free to contact myself or Mike McGuire of Ascent GIS (Surdex's
Pacific Northwest Business Partner).

Take care.
