Thanks for the time and effort in your work on the Cartographic Best Practices - great job.  I particularly like the graphic with all the detail that you have included here.  Very nice indeed.   The only comments/input that I could offer would be on the subject of scale and your discussion of "Numeric Ration or Scale Text."   While I know you both know this, I am thinking that perhaps it would be proper to mention something about Representative Fraction (http://www.map-reading.com/ch5-1.php) which "Cartographically" speaking,  is really what this is refereeing too.  Again nice job guys.

At the GPL meeting the consensus was that we should allow one last chance for comments before forwarding to OGIC for endorsement.
