Randy, All,
During the Nov2016 GPL meeting, we discussed ArcGIS Pro a little and how some may struggle with the new environment / terminology / interface. Randy asked whether there was a 'compatibility matrix / walk through' for users....
There is not but this brochure on ArcGIS Pro terminology may be of some help: http://www.esri.com/library/brochures/pdfs/arcgis-pro-terminology-guide.pdf
Other resources that you may find useful to get oriented:
* Book: Getting to Know ArcGIS Pro<http://esripress.esri.com/display/index.cfm?fuseaction=display&websiteid=299&moduleid=0>
* Training: There is a large number (about 50 modules) of free training and training available as part of your ELA on ArcGIS Pro, including some simple getting started. Go to training.esri.com, filter by ArcGIS Pro on the product filter box to view them all
* There are also to Instructor led classes that would be relevant:
o ArcGIS Pro: Essential Workflows<https://www.esri.com/training/catalog/5763042e851d31e02a43edcb/arcgis-pro:-essential-workflows/>
o Introduction to ArcGIS Pro for GIS Professionals<https://www.esri.com/training/catalog/57630436851d31e02a43f15f/introduction-to-arcgis-pro-for-gis-professionals/>
Finally, your Esri Training Consultant, Diane Wagner (cced here) is available to help you and your agency/users find the training appropriate for your needs.
Thanks
Nathalie
