[gpl_list] Coordination re: Covid-19

All,

I would ask that as a part of this response, please let me know of what key projects you are working on so that we can effectively coordinate with operational and planning decisions as well as stay informed. I have set up collaboration groups for the ECC response to include some COVID-19 Information sharing groups to keep individuals informed. If you or you know of someone that would like to be added to these groups, please let me know.

Also, as a side item, I would like to survey individuals to see if you might be interested in assisting with the Emergency Coordination Center response as a GIS staff member. This will involve ArcGIS Online data maintenance and miscellaneous GIS side projects. We'd be looking at shifts as primary for a Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM in an office-like environment. If you are interested, please let me know and I can follow up with a more detailed email with what we are working on.

As you each work within your respective agencies to coordinate responses to COVID-19, the Office of Data Governance and Transparency (including the Geospatial Enterprise Office and the Chief Data Officer) wants to reach out to be sure you're aware of the avenues and opportunities that may be available for collaboration.  Some of the coordinating services the GEO office may be able to provide include:



*        Creation of open data or ArcGIS Online spaces to facilitate data sharing

*        Coordination and assistance as you search for authoritative data sources

*       Access to Framework themes and data layers available through the Oregon Spatial Data Library



This is an uncertain and chaotic time, and access to quality information has never been more vital as you make decisions. If there is any support or assistance we can provide in getting you the information or data you need, please let us know.
