[gpl_list] Announcement from Chief Data Office & ESRI UC - No GPL in July

Hello GPL -
A reminder that the ESRI User Conference (https://uc2021.esri.com/) has started this week!! We will not meet as GPL in July. If you are so inclined, time will be reserved during the August GPL meeting to share/discuss what you learned at the UC.

*A note for GPL from Kathryn*
GPL Members,

Please join me in congratulating Josh Tanner on his new position with ESRI as a Senior Software Engineer in their Research and Development division. Josh will be working on developing new technologies for ESRI.  This is a really fantastic opportunity for him, so while I'm sad that he is departing the Office of Data Governance and Transparency, I am also thrilled for him as he embarks on this new chapter in his life.

Josh's final day in the office will be August 2, 2021, and we will be working to transition his duties appropriately over the next month, including posting his position on Workday as a one-year rotation. I will circulate the posting once it is available, but please don't hesitate to reach out should you have questions for me.  Josh will also continue to work with agencies regarding any outstanding projects or requests and we will work to make sure our office can continue to provide support to agencies.  As we seek out a replacement for Josh's role, there may be some additional delays/limitations on requests, though I expect those will be minimal.

Josh, we really appreciate all of the work you've done to make GEO and the Chief Data Office successful, and are happy for you in this new role!
