In case you missed it, Dr. Michael Dennis from the NGS was interviewed in a recent segment of the Daily Show with Trevor Noah to talk about the decision to drop the US Survey foot. Michael has given several presentations here in Oregon on geodesy and coordinate systems and was the lead designer of Oregon's low distortion coordinate systems, he also did his PhD work at OSU.
