I’m in the Applications Developer’s Group for SOS/ IT (Elections Audits and Corp/Bus Licensing). All DevOps staff have this level of gear or less I was told. I’m OK with the below. I have an Advanced ESRI License and Data Production extension, and it seems adequate. Processing precinct split-level data maxes out usually not longer than a restroom break. 😊 No fatal crashes like in the old days.
Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1185G7 @ 3.00GHz 1.80 GHz
Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.4 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Randy, I am about to replace my laptop this summer. My current RAM is 16GB and it is not enough to run Pro efficiently in my opinion. I will be using the specs listed by Esri here for Pro System Requirements: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/get-started/arcgis-pro-system-requirements.htm<https://gcc02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpro.arcgis.com%2Fen%2Fpro-app%2Flatest%2Fget-started%2Farcgis-pro-system-requirements.htm&data=05%7C01%7CRoberta.ROBLES%40sos.oregon.gov%7Cce5088e762a944b024ed08daffcfcda9%7Caa3f6932fa7c47b4a0cea598cad161cf%7C0%7C0%7C638103565216335331%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=xOzOhn6Jz7tiyuMdcprSuHjnGunuYBzYM8pQikokEuw%3D&reserved=0>
I plan to choose optimal requirements preferably just because in a few years “optimal” will only be “recommended” or “minimum”.
++++++++++++++++++
Specs for Optimal are:
CPU: 10 Cores
OS: x64
Hard Drive: 32GB or more Free Space SSD (this seems extremely low to me. Should probably be minimum 500 GB – 1 or 2TB depending on how much data you work with.)
RAM: 64GB
Dedicated Graphics Memory: 4GB or more
DirectX: DirectX 11, feature level 11.0, Shader Model 5.0
OpenGL: OpenGL 4.5 with the ARB_shader_draw_parameters, EXT_swap_control, EXT_texture_compression_s3tc, and EXT_texture_filter_anisotropic extensions
It appears NVIDIA GPU / 16GB or more is recommended to run Spatial Analysis with Pro optimally.

Subject: [gpl_list] laptop specs for ArcGIS Pro
Hello, all.
Our agency is moving all staff to laptop computers. The computers currently being provided look like this:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8265U CPU @ 1.60GHz 1.80 GHz
RAM: 8.00 GB
System type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
Internal hard drive: 232 GB
Graphics card: Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620
Our GIS users find these systems to be less than optimal (those of us who have access to our old desktop systems continue to use them).
If you are or plan to be running ArcGIS Pro exclusively on a laptop, what specifications would you recommend for optimal functioning of the software’s capabilities?
Thank you,
Randy
