[gpl_list] ODOE needs GIS PD template

There a new GIS Analyst position emerging at Oregon Department of Energy.  Andy from ODOE is looking for position descriptions that he can use as a template for the PD he’s developing (see below).  Any GPLers out there who have comparable positions at their agency please forward Andy that PD at his email below.

Hi Andy, that’s great news about an emerging GIS position at ODOE!  As far as PDs are concerned, the 6 GIS positions at DOR are ISS-series and cadastral-focused, so I’m not sure ours would be the best ones to template.  I’m CC-ing CISU manager Rebecca who may know better about the usefulness of our GIS PDs for your needs.

With your permission I could forward your request for GIS PD templates to the GIS Program Leaders distribution list, which consists of almost all the GIS positions statewide.  Bound to be someone out there approximating the position you’re trying to create.  Or, if you wanted to fashion an email with more details to garner the best match, you could just send it yourself to gpl_list at omls.oregon.gov<mailto:gpl_list at omls.oregon.gov>.

Keep us in the loop of how things go, and when that new hire comes on board we’ll be sure to roll out the GPL welcome wagon 😊
