Good afternoon GPL members!

Please see the attached for the November GPL meeting agenda. This month's meeting will feature a guest presentation from Esri on web content accessibility. Here's a quick summary of the content of the presentation:


Jessica McCall, Sr. Accessibility Project Manager at Esri, will discuss the importance of accessibility and the recent changes to laws concerning federal, state, and local government agencies. She will share some best practices and practical information about including accessibility into GIS maps and apps such as choosing color schemes, writing map descriptions, and including narrative text that can support better accessibility. Jessica will also show some resources that are available from Esri to support accessible content creation.
