[gpl_list] Interest in IronOR 24 Exercise - September 20th deadline!

Good afternoon GPL,

As a follow-up to my announcement on the IronOR exercise<https://geo.maps.arcgis.com/apps/instant/portfolio/index.html?appid=593e6cd0f22d4533b0c93123f039025a>, here's the associated details for this state level exercise:

  *   We're recruiting for any volunteers that may want to participate in our exercise, which is set to take place from October 28th through October 31st. The actual days of play are October 29th through the morning half of the day on October 31st.
     *   Keep in mind that this is limited to state agency employees only. You do not need to participate the entire time, and you can just sign up for one day of play. Play will be in-person only at our facility at 3930 Fairview Industrial Dr SE in Salem.
  *   Your role will be to serve as either GIS lead or GIS support during this exercise. You'll be viewing data coming into the platforms we utilize (primarily ArcGIS Online), interfacing with other emergency management staff, serve in the planning section situation unit, and build/design data solutions as necessary using the ArcGIS Online suite of tools.
  *   Folks that are interested will be trained on how we conduct business in the state emergency coordination center. This involves a review of typical duties, expectations, and where to ask help.
  *   I will be serving as an evaluator for this exercise, and I will be available to ask questions and provide insight/guidance during exercise play.




This exercise is a no-fault environment, and this will serve as a great learning experience for those of you that are interested in overall emergency management and how our agency interfaces and interacts with our partners from all levels.

For those that have signed up, I'll schedule time to sit down with you to talk about how the GIS role works within our Emergency Coordination Center as part of some pre-exercise training to get you familiar with the process.
