Good morning GIS Program Leaders, Emergency Management GIS Interest Group members, PrepFIT members, OGIC TAC members, OGIC representatives, NG-GTAC members, and DAS GEO staff!

As we continue to build out our GIS program at the agency, we want to ensure that we are meeting our community's needs and building out the future of utilization of the GIS technology that we have deployed for our agency operations. In an effort to move us forward, it was necessary to build a GIS strategy to organize our path and clearly define what our objectives are as an agency - all in alignment with our broad agency mission.

  *   This strategy will continue to be fluid, but it is our attempt at documenting our path forward.
  *   This strategy ensures consistency in our approach to developing solutions using GIS tools.
  *   This strategy helps hold us to a standard of program development.
  *   Future planning using this strategy will assist us in the future for justification of work necessary and the needs of the community.
  *   This strategy allows our agency to measure the success of our program and return on investment.

Conclusion
